LO1 Legal and Ethical

The content within Yorkshire lasses doesn't really cause a problem with regards to the Ofcom rules and regulations, there is no excessive foul language and it does not display or glamourise excessive violence. This production would fall under Section one: Protecting under eighteens, the principle of this is to ensure that people who are under eighteen are protected. One of the things that we would need to consider is the scheduling time, if the content in Yorkshire lasses is not appropriate for children then it will have to shown after the watershed. The watershed starts at 9pm and this is where any material that is unsuitable for children can be broadcasted on TV. However the relatively mild nature of Yorkshire lasses means that it can be played before the watershed. In one of the scenes in Yorkshire lasses it will show the use of alcohol, since Yorkshire lasses is targeted towards people who are in the age range of 16 - 25 the use of alcohol is permitted in some of the scenes.

LO1 Proposed scheduling time

Our proposed scheduling time is on a Wednesday after 9pm due to the watershed. The show contains swearing and some adult themes. Because of this it needs to be aired after the watershed when audiences wouldn't be offended by the content. The pilot episode would be aired at the end of June.
